Daisy Kroon (1985)

Graduated eight years ago from the Willem de Kooning Academy, she started her own label named Daisy Kroon.

Her work is an invitation to simple wonder: a relaxed sense of mystery that is reflected in the casual, but intricate designs and the comfortable textiles she works with. The collections are highly wearable, contemporary and are recognizable by its use of bright colors and an explicit line in coupe and color.

In her designs Daisy is permantely researching the timelessness in an effortless way. Her designs usually have a slightly male and minimal cut with a Scandinavian allure.

Her label reflects her personality – A jumble of contradictions. ‘As a child, I’d wear a princess’ gown and patent leather shoes the one day and an old pair of trousers with a western-style jacket the next. I never let go of that, but nowadays I look for that contrast within my outfits.’

Previously she used to work in half-yearly collections, now there will be a series of garments that she always wants to have in her closet.
