Somewhere in your story you must pause to describe your heroine’s costume
Our heroine Kamala Harris, the first woman to be elected vice president of the United States, paid tribute to women activists not only in her words, but also in her appearance.
She wore a white pantsuit, a sartorial gesture with a nod to suffragists.
Suffragists deployed white to convey the message that they were skilled and beautiful women who would bring civility to politics. But they also turned to a much more diverse palette: both British and American suffragettes used purple (loyalty), white (purity) and yellow (hope) to create a recognisable brand. Though the brightness of the color white is what left the biggest impression.
Be your own heroine in the cream wool Yama boiler-suit and add a dash of purple of yellow to underline your strength
